(Burniston & Cloughton Village Hall - 27-29 June 2013)

"Hello darkness my old friend" was performed 27th - 29th June 2013 at Burniston Village Hall, as part of a programme of 2 plays, collectively titled "Second Sight". The other play in the programme was "I'll be watching you"

"Hello Darkness My Old Friend", concerns a father, Phil, who is obsessively looking for his missing son Joe in the local park. Eventually Joe turns up. But so does Phil’s ex-wife Sarah. And when the couple start to dredge up old arguments, Joe disappears again.

Hello Darkness My Old Friend did very well at this year’s North Eastern Region drama festival in Saltburn, winning the Best Actor award for David Irwin as Phil, and the Adjudicator’s award for 11-year-old Will Stanway who plays Joe.
